WindowfolioPowerToys
by Microsoft
Window layouts, a launcher, a color picker and more than twenty other utilities from Microsoft.
What it does
PowerToys is one app from Microsoft that bundles small utilities you switch on individually. FancyZones snaps windows into layouts you design, Command Palette is a keyboard launcher, Awake keeps the PC from sleeping, Peek previews files with a shortcut, and Text Extractor copies text from anything on screen.
Everything is managed from one settings window, so you can turn on the two or three tools you want and leave the rest off.

One install covers a surprising amount of a Mac power-user setup: window snapping, a launcher, keep-awake, a color picker and on-screen text capture.
Good to know
- New versions arrive roughly every month, and PowerToys can update itself.
- Some tools only work in apps running as administrator if PowerToys does too. There is a setting to always run it elevated.
