What it does

Press Alt+Space, type, press Enter. Flow Launcher opens apps, finds files, does quick maths and runs web searches, all from one search box that appears over whatever you are doing.

A built-in plugin store adds the rest: clipboard history, window switching, unit conversion, system commands and much more, installed without leaving the launcher.

What it costs

Coming from a Mac?

Does the job of

AlfredRaycast

The closest thing to Alfred on Windows: one hotkey, one box, plugins for everything else.

Good to know

  • Alt+Space is also Windows' own window-menu shortcut. If you need that menu, pick a different hotkey in Flow's settings.
  • Install Everything too and set it as Flow's file search engine for instant file results.
